Registration

Any student under the age of 17 must attend a state approved driving school in order to get an Idaho Graduated Drivers License. Register before going to the DMV, so the DMV will send the permit to 5B Driving School. I will then give the permit to the student upon completion of both the online class and behind the wheel driving.

 

Students over the age of 17 do not need to register for a driver’s education program prior to getting a permit. The student can obtain the permit directly from the DMV after passing the written knowledge test.

5B Driving School is not accepting new registrations currently

If you have already registered with us and wish to start the online course, please skip down to Step 2 to start the course. All online courses must be completed by June 15, 2026 and the driving lessons must be finished by June 30, 2026. No class extensions will be available. The total cost is $595. There will be a nonrefundable $50 deposit to start the online course, with the remaining $545 to be paid at the first drive.
